The post-apocalyptic world of Metro 2033 will be releasing March 19th for the Xbox 360 and PC.  There is radiation, new non-friendly species and all that good stuff that usually comes with the apocalypse.  The game is set in Moscow, Russia in the Metro system as humanity fights for its survival.  THQ and 4A Games have constructed yet another post-apocalyptic horror, survival, RPG/First Person Shooter which is a genre we have now come to love with such titles as Fallout 3, among many others.

After being delayed from its original release date of October 2009 to Spring 2010,  Alpha Protocol has once again been delayed for a third time, now set for a Summer 2010 release.  Obsidian has said the game was delayed again to really polish the graphics and work on the mechanics of the AI.  Alpha Protocol is an espionage RPG/Shooter that will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

The handful of original Xbox games that had online support for the first Xbox are going offline. Games such as Halo 2 had a good run, but the time has finally come to pull the plug. An interesting note on Halo 2 is that with the online support for the game gone, Microsoft will now have the ability to let you have more than the current max 100 friends on your friends list. Whether this will be incorporated soon is yet to be revealed, but Halo 2 was the source of the problem to previously increase the size of the friends list due to it’s online coding.

Just Cause 2 will give you the freedom to choose your missions and your gameplay style.  Choose to use a freakin Jet, or a car or grapple or just parachute.  A demo for the game has been confirmed and will arrive sometime soon before the actual release date. Just Cause 2 will be out for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on March 23rd.

A demo for Aliens vs Predator is now available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.  The demo features online multiplayer on one map in deathmatch.  The full game will be available February 16th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

Bethesda will be continuing the Fallout saga with Fallout: New Vegas.  The game will be out fall of this year for the Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3.

Bioshock 2 will be out on February 9th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.  Midnight releases will be held at certain participating Gamestop and Best Buy stores.

A leaked trailer for Dante’s Inferno reveals DLC that will add multiplayer co-op.  Enjoy the leak while it last.  Dante’s Inferno comes out February 9th for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP.

Let us begin with the graphics in Mass Effect 2.  They are nearly flawless, with a few low textured shadows that do not take away from the cinematic awe of the game.  Cinematic scenes, environments and even graphics during the core game play are breath taking.  They are far superior to the original Mass Effect.

I’m still not really sure if I love or hate the recent wave of every game having pre-order incentive that sometimes even forces you to purchase from specific retailers.  Regardless, pre-ordering Dead to Rights: Retribution from Gamestop will get you the following:

Well a Battlefront 3 would have been great or even a Knights of the Old Republic 3, but those dreams are gone.  According to a Kotaku source, a Star Wars: Battlefront Online game is being produced for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 by Lucasarts and Slant Six Games.  Slant Six Games created SOCOM Confrontation and SOCOM Fire Team Bravo 3.  According to the source it will be online only and hit retailers in 2011.
