Playboy Playmates Think They Would Be The Best Bayonetta

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on January 9th, 2010 by admin

Playmates Chernise, Kat, Jillian, Ryan and Shannon are all dressed up like Bayonetta waiting for you to vote on which one is the best.  Initially clicking play on this video I was expecting pure sexiness but got a little bonus sense of awkwardness from the uncomfortable playmates.  Go vote here.

16 Year Old Boy Found With His 42 Year Old World of Warcraft ‘Soulmate’

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on January 3rd, 2010 by admin

Andrew Kane, 16 years old, asked his parents if they would drive him from their Barrie, Ont., home to a hotel in near Midland, where he planned to meet a 42-year-old woman he was having an online relationship with.  He met her through the World of Warcraft forums.  After his parents refused Andrew left on his own to meet his ’soulmate’, Lauri Price, a Texas mother of four.

Laura flew to Toronto and drove a rental car to pickup the teen.  She was under the impression that he was 20 years old after playing WOW with him.  The boys online chats with the woman revealed that they thought they were soul-mates.  Police found the couple Thursday afternoon at a Future Shop in Orillia after the boy had been missing for two days.  Laura returned home and Andrew needs a reality check.

Judge Takes The Day Off To Play Modern Warfare 2

Posted in Modern Warfare 2, Uncategorized, Video Games on November 23rd, 2009 by admin

A fellow the press is calling ‘Will Statton’ is 48 years old and has been a Judge in Britain for 15 years.  Will not only went to the midnight release for Modern Warfare 2 but called out sick the next day to get some killing done in Modern Warfare 2.  Upon him not going to work, it held up a pending trial which is typical when there is no Judge to be found.

Halloween Costumes Available for Xbox 360 Avatars

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on October 15th, 2009 by admin

Halloween costumes such as a  Werewolve, Vampire, Frankenstein and more.  Each costume will run 240 Microsoft Points.. kind of steep.  Remember the days when Microsoft released the avatar clothes for free?  Well as long as people keep buying them, they will keep releasing more for a price.

Rapid Fire Controllers – What You Want (Xbox 360 Intensafire)

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on October 12th, 2009 by admin

Let me start off by saying that rapid fire controllers are perfectly legal but should not be used if you think it will make you better at a game. Bottom line is that they don’t make you a better player.  They are for people that were disappointing to see the rapid fire controllers leave the mainstream market once the current generation of consoles came out.

Now there are a ton of different kind of rapid fire controllers out there but with all the games out and games to come, you don’t want to get one just for it to become obsolete.  The Intensafire chip can be placed in an Xbox 360 controller to give you presets for games like Call of Duty and Gears of War.  But where the intensafire chip really gets your moneys worth is that is has a custom preset that you can set from a rapid fire rate of 0 to 255.  This allows you to custom set it for any game that will come out in the future as well as games that are already out.  So you can shoot a single fire rate gun as fast as the game will let you.  The Intensafire requires no soldiering, just a dab of conductive glue.  It starts at $26.90 and you can get it here.

Disney Just Bought Marvel

Posted in Uncategorized on August 31st, 2009 by admin

The headline is far from a lie.  Disney has just purchased Marvel and all it’s wonderful super heroes/characters for 4 billion dollars.  While Time Warner now owns DC Comics it might be possible we will see a Wolverine and The Little Mermaid movie.. just kidding.  Although Disney does intend on putting their newly bought Marvel characters on the Disney Channel, ABC Television, in video games, theme parks and of course movies.  The young male audience wasn’t really as grabbed in by Hannah Montana as much as Disney may have wanted.  As of right now Disney has said they don’t feel the need to take over Marvel video game development but has said “As these licensing deals [with other game publishers and Marvel characters] expire we have the luxury of considering what’s best for the company and the products.”  Tom Staggs, Disney’s senior executive vice president did also mention that this new ownership does present opportunities to bring Marvel and Disney characters together.  While that doesn’t even sound right in any way, shape or form, Disney would definitely make bank on a Kingdom Hearts game with Marvel characters.  As a fan of Marvel I can only hope for the best on this one.  It’s not that I don’t like Disney.. it’s just that they just bought my own free will for 12 bucks.  Disney also owns the ESPN Network but I doubt we will be seeing Spiderman on there any time soon.

PS3 Slim – The Down Low

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on August 20th, 2009 by admin

The PS3 Slim is on it’s way to be released on September 1st and will run you $299.  Now with a lower price and more memory (120 GB upped from the original 80 GB) it is definitely a good buy.  If you don’t already own a PS3 than it seems like now would be a good time to get one.  Gamer or not, one of the best features in a PS3 is it’s blue-ray player.  HD is the way of the future and soon there will be an HD TV in every home as tube TV’s will eventually join the dark place the black & white TV’s have gone.  The PS3 has a great blue-ray player in it and by getting a PS3 with online capability, SONY can upgrade firmware for the blue-ray player which is not a feature than can be found in many other blue-ray players.  As for the gaming aspect I personally tend to play more of the blockbuster titles on the Xbox 360 but if your someone who has ever had more than one console, the new PS3 Slim that is smaller cheaper and has more memory, should certainly be a consideration for purchase as the PS3, like the 360 has exclusive game titles.  Some other changes in the PS3 Slim are that the power/eject button is actually a button now and not a touch sensor as well as SONY getting rid of the stand by switch completely.  Like the recent PS3’s, the PS3 Slim does not have backwards comparability with PS2 games but ironically can play PS1 games.  SONY has also removed the ability to add a second operating system on the PS3 Slim which is probably not a big deal to most people.  Got it?   Good.

Ice T Plays Call of Duty and Talks With Cliffy B

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on August 11th, 2009 by admin

The video says is all.  Just another funny Jace Hall video of him interviewing… well let’s just say visiting rapper Ice T and his wife CoCo at their home.  Ice T demonstrates how frustrating playing games online can sometimes be.  I still think CoCo’s ass is bionic.

Xbox Live Nov.11 Dashboard Update Live and More To Come

Posted in Uncategorized, Video Games on August 11th, 2009 by admin

The Xbox NXE mandatory dashboard update for today is now live and has added a bunch of new features.  There is now an Avatar Marketplace where you can purchase premium clothing as well as props for you Avatar and the Avatar Award system that will let you unlock things through playing a game.  Games will eventually integrate this in future titles and any game that has already been released will need a title update to add unlockable Avatar items.  Another addition is the feature to watch Netflix movies with a bunch of your friends in a party and if you lag out a of a party chat it will automatically put back in, which is not fully functional I might add.  Full Xbox 360 Games on Demand for a not so great price is yet another added feature.  This is just the start as later this fall we will see the Zune Video Marketplace that will replace the current Video Marketplace.  Xbox Live will also see integration with Twitter, Facebook and Last FM this year as long as Microsoft can keep their promises.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Coming To The Wii

Posted in Uncategorized on August 5th, 2009 by admin

Activision has officially announced that a port for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is coming to the Wii.  Obviously ‘port’ is the key word here and the graphics won’t be what they are on the 360 or PS3 version.  The title will have a slight change as well to be named Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.  The announcement that is it coming to the Wii is the only information we have so far.  Keep it here when more details are revealed.
